Little update

27 Nov

Hi everyone,

Just to let you all know, Kerry is still stable and doing well in ICU. The doctors are very pleased so far with her progress, however keep reminding us that she has a long recovery ahead and it will be slow. On Friday her kidneys were not working properly so she is now on dialysis (which we have been reassured is very common post transplant and will get better).

I went over this weekend and it was so so lovely to see her, however the situation is indescribable (so I’m not going to try as I don’t even know what words to use). I will tell you though that she is being just so brave and is doing well. The doctors and nurses are doing an amazing job and taking such good care of her.

I will keep you posted with any changes, however at this stage it is baby steps. Again, thank you so much for all the prayers, comments, wishes they mean so much to us all and please keep them coming to Kerry for her recovery.

Love Kim xxx

This is such a relief Kim, after Friday’s news. Our thoughts and prayers remain with you all. I like the expression “baby steps”; I hope they keep multiplying!

Thank you Kim. We are all so relieved that the transplant has happened – it still seems like a miracle, although it is early days. All the time we picture Kerry healthy and happy and living a fulfilling life…. “onwards and upwards” is a very common phrase in our house but also very apt. Our love, blessings and constant prayers are with you all always. xxxxxxxx

    Hi Kim

Thank you again for the update, your so good to keep us in the loop xxx
We are just thrilled that Kerry got her lungs at last and also so grateful for this gift she has received. I was thinking of her today, wondering how she was doing and I just thought how lovely it will be to see her well again. After all she has been through and how she has handled it all, I think her baby steps will turn into a little sprint in good time. She is truely inspirational xxx
Love to you all, your all soooo brave.

Kim, I’ve been out of action for a day or two – but what stupendously good news. If we pray for something – we should never be surprised when when we receive a positive answer; – a miracle even. The St. Ouen Prayer Lighthouse meets tonight – and and they’ll be overjoyed. We recognise that there’s a long road ahead but we will of course keep up the prayer for Kerry. She has our love.
