Medication Lists

For those of you who may be interested, here is what currently keeps me going on a daily basis:

Post transplant: (updated September 2012)

Note: NO INHALERS / NEBULISERS !!!! 🙂
Colistin nebuliser 2mu
Salbutamol nebuliser 2.5mg QDS
Fungizone nebuliser 25mg BD

Anti-rejection
MMF 1g bd (this is sometimes reduced to 250mg or 500mg BD depending on my white cell count)
Tacrolimus 2.5mg bd (reduced from 6mg BD)
These need to be taken on time at 10am and 10pm.

Long-term Antibiotics
Azithromycin 250mgs three times weekly (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
Co-Trimoxozole 480mg once daily
Valganciclovir 900mg once daily

Steroids
Prednisolone 10mgs once daily (increases from time to time)

Iron supplement
Ferrous Sulphate 200mg once daily (reduced from tds)

For calming / relax breathing / pain relief
Citalopram 10mgs once daily
Amitriptyline 5mg once nightly (reduced from 10mg)
Paracetamol 1gm prn

Anti-sickness / reflux
Omeprazole 20mgs once daily (reduced from 40mg)
Domperidone 10mgs prn
Buccastem 3mgs prn
Ondansetron 4mg prn
Cyclizine 50mg prn

For heart rate
Bisoprolol 1.25mg bd
Amlodipine 10mg OD

For Cholesterol
Pravastatin 40my daily

For bones / prevent osteoporosis
Alendronic Acid 70mg once weekly
Adcal x4 daily

Weekly pills!

Daily pills (plus paracetamol and constant anti- sickness meds!)

Pre- transplant:

Inhalers / Nebulisers
Salamol/Ventolin nebules 5mgs/2.5ml qds and also prn.
Ipratropium Bromide 500mcg/ 2ml nebules qds
Sodium chloride nebules 5mls prn
Seretide inhaler 250 bd
Ventolin inhaler 100mcg prn
Spiriva inhaler 18mcg once daily
Nystatin oral suspension – 1ml to be taken after nebuliser.

Long-term Antibiotics
Azithromycin 250mgs three times weekly (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
Doxycycline 100mg once daily

Steroids
Prednisolone 10mgs once daily

Other
Femodette (75/20mcg) once daily
Clexane pre-filled syringes for sub-cutaneous injection 20mg/0.2ml once daily
Mucodyne 375mg tds to help clear chest
Furosemide 40mg once daily to help drain excess fluid.

For calming / relax breathing / pain relief
Lorazepam 0.5 mgs qds plus prn up to 4mg a day
Citalopram 10mgs once daily
Amitriptyline 10mg once nightly
Oromorph solution 10mg / 5ml (2.5ml bd/qds)
Meloxicam 15mg once daily
Paracetamol 1gm prn

Anti-sickness / reflux
Domperidone 10mgs tds
Ranitidine 150mg bd
Pantroprazole 40mgs once daily
Cyclizine 50mg
Sucralfate Tablets 1g bd 30 mins before meals
Buccastem 3mgs prn

For heart rate
Bisoprolol 1.25mg bd

Augmentin / Co Amoxiclav antiobiotics rescue pack (tablets) and Prednisolone steroids (higher dose) 30mg when needed.

From Dietician
Calogen Extra 60ml bd
Fortijuice 100ml qds
Maxijul 1-2 tbs prn
Liquid Prosource (30ml od)

    An incredible list Kerry! I can’t imagine having to keep track of all that…A full-time job just keeping up with it all. Even reading all the medical names is exhausting!
